Better Energy has grid-connected its second large-scale solar park in Sweden in 2024, located at Hovby Airport in Lidköping Municipality. At the time of the solar park’s Commercial Operation Date, Better Energy operated Sweden's two largest solar parks.

Granular certificates that match production and consumption of green energy every hour takes a major step from development to reality with test partnership between Google, Better Energy, Flexidao and Energinet. The test takes advantage of Denmark’s large share of renewables in the energy system and centralized production and consumption data from smart meters.

Better Energy inaugurates its Studsvik Solar Park in Sweden at an opening event alongside its partners. The park is expected to produce 25 GWh of green energy annually and will provide green electricity for businesses in Sweden.

Faerch contributes to a new solar park in Finland and expands its partnership with Better Energy through a Power Purchase Agreement. Faerch, a leading supplier of circular food packaging with integrated recycling capability, has signed its second 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Better Energy.

Through Power Purchase Agreements with Better Energy, the three companies contributed to establishing a new solar park on the island of Funen. Now grid-connected, the solar park is expected to deliver green electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of nearly 51,000 Danes.

Better Energy Holding continues in restructuring, two subsidiaries have filed for bankruptcy, while a new company will ensure future adapted operations.

Today, Better Energy published its annual report for 2023, delivering solid progress and strong business milestones in a year of investment and strategic execution.
