Head of Quality
The Head of Quality will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across all aspects of Better Energy's solar park projects, from development and construction to long-term operation. This role is crucial to the company’s commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient solar energy solutions. The successful candidate will lead the Quality department, develop and implement quality management systems, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy for solar park development, construction, and operations.
- Lead and manage the Quality team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality performance throughout the organization.
Quality Management Systems
- Design, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Monitor compliance with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Ensure the consistent application of quality standards and procedures across all projects.
Project Oversight & Compliance
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and operations teams to establish quality benchmarks for each phase of the solar park lifecycle.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure that construction, materials, and equipment meet all safety and performance standards.
Supplier & Contractor Management
- Establish quality requirements for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that all partners meet Better Energy's standards.
- Develop and oversee supplier qualification and auditing processes.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the quality of materials and components used in solar park projects.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality deficiencies.
- Identify potential quality risks and work with teams to mitigate them early in the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, implementing lessons learned, and sharing best practices.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact for quality-related matters, providing regular updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Prepare quality reports, metrics, and performance reviews for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication of quality goals and outcomes throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Masters degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role in an international setting.
- Proven experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably with large-scale solar projects.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001), and industry-specific regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent) is desirable
