Restoration of nature on former farmland

Chociwel Solar Park is located in the northwestern part of Poland. Situated on disused farmland, the current landscape consists primarily of grassland and cultivated fields. We have collaborated with nature experts from Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) on how to restore the former farmland. Thus, the park aims to enhance natural habitats in the area.

Pioneering biodiversity and self-sustaining ecosystem

The biodiversity initiative in Chociwel Solar Park intentionally includes diverse micro habitats, various plant and animal species over time. The goal is to establish a self-sustaining, compact ecosystem that thrives independently within a relatively short timeframe of 2-3 years.  Furthermore, the Chociwel Solar Park will serve as a sanctuary for local biodiversity and also offer educational and recreational opportunities for the surrounding communities and visitors.

Reintroducing flora and fauna

A key aspect in the development involves the use of native Polish plant species to restore former farmland and enhance the natural habitat. Extensive surveys and meticulous site analyses were conducted during the planning phase to ensure the successful implementation of the biodiversity project. Drawing on our nature know-how and the expertise of renowned Polish nature restoration scientists, we aim to create a diverse ecosystem that supports a variety of flora and fauna.
